Abstract:CySEC warning list, cyprus securities and exchangecommission
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is an independent public regulatory authority responsible for supervising the investment services market, the trading of transferable securities within the Republic of Cyprus, as well as the collective investment and asset management sectors. It is also responsible for regulating companies providing administrative services that are not supervised by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and the Cyprus Bar Association, as well as cryptocurrency asset service providers.
As an independent public regulatory authority in Cyprus, CySEC shoulders the heavy responsibility of overseeing the country's investment services market and the trading of transferable securities. Its core mission lies in effective regulation to ensure that investors are fully protected and to promote the healthy development of the securities market.
This warning list covers numerous companies and websites that have carried out financial business without authorization. Some companies use investment projects that promise investors an annualized rate of return far exceeding the market average as a guise to deceive investors into getting involved. Some websites meticulously imitate regular financial institutions in terms of page design and service processes, defrauding users of their account information and funds, and causing serious economic losses to investors. If investors have business dealings with the entities on the list, it will be difficult for them to obtain effective legal protection, and the possibility of recovering funds after suffering losses is extremely slim.
