Abstract:eToro now offers stocks from the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, giving global investors access to leading UAE companies in sectors like energy, finance, and healthcare.
Online trading broker eToro has introduced equities listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) to its platform. This new product comes after ADX and eToro announced a strategic relationship last year to extend worldwide access to the UAE stock market.
This agreement allows eToro's enormous global community to invest in over 30 ADX-listed firms. This comprises a variety of industries, including energy, real estate, banking, finance, technology, and healthcare, which offer a wide range of investment options.
George Naddaf, Managing Director of eToro MENA, expressed his delight at the move, saying, “We are excited to enable our global users to diversify their portfolios with access to leading companies in the UAE, while also empowering local investors to invest in businesses they know and trust.” Naddaf further stated that the initial set of equities is worth $713 billion in market capitalization, accounting for approximately 88% of ADX's overall market capitalization of $818 billion.
Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of ADX, expressed his delight in the collaboration, stating that over 30 ADX-listed firms are now available to millions of eToro investors worldwide. He noted that this approach is consistent with ADX's continuous efforts to expand market access and promote greater investor involvement.
“Through our partnership with eToro, we continue to enhance Abu Dhabi's position as one of the premier global financial centers and investment hubs,” he said. This strategic relationship not only allows investors to enter the UAE's booming market but also boosts the country's worldwide financial position.
With ADX ranking as one of the top 20 worldwide exchanges and the second-largest in the Middle East, this relationship increases the exchange's visibility and development opportunities. Both ADX and eToro are dedicated to increasing retail involvement and educating investors about the growing prospects in the UAE's dynamic stock market.
This move is a key milestone for eToro and ADX, paving the path for further collaboration and increased worldwide access to the UAE's growing economy. As investor interest in Middle Eastern markets develops, the future of both platforms appears bright, allowing investors to diversify their portfolios with top-tier UAE firms.
